Apparently this is post 101 on my website. Perhaps I should take a moment to make a list of all the things in this world that I'd like to see disappearing into a mysterious room, but frankly you might as well just look at my 'Dislikes' on the About section (top left) and in post 'Day 109'.
I've spent part of today trying to get more exposure for the project but short of wandering around Piccadily Circus in a hula skirt whilst impersonating George Formby, this is proving futile, like urinating into a hurricane.
For example, I wrote to Typepad (as in typepad.com) who host this site. They apparently promote a handful of websites every few weeks and I though they might show just a glimmer of interest in mine.
I must say, I am a tad insulted that this week they've instead decided to bang a drum for such mundane weblogs as:
Forest Project - Forest scapes from an aspiring forest photographer.
Ben Roethlisberger - Big Ben's personal entries and photos.
and one called Healthwise Agewise, that seems so tedious that I'm actually dropping off whilst thinking about how to describe it.
The only other thing of note that happened to me today, and this is entirely true, is that I was almost killed by a crazed maniac wielding an MP5 smg. So if anyone has any hints about getting past level 3 of Medal of Honour: European Assault' on the Playstation2, give me a hint would you.
I had some extremely positive news this afternoon, as I was informed that two fine, great, lovely, fantastic members of the 500 had agreed to a meeting, both in the same place and at the same time, so not only does my tally go up by two more, but it will be a very simple procedure. I'm getting to know the reception area of the BBC like the back of my hand.
Crimewatch's Nick Ross and Fiona Bruce are now the apple's of my eye. I'm not entirely sure about the meaning of that expression, I think that it's a term of endearment and hope that I haven't just made an embarassing faux pas.
Anyway huge gratitude to those two good sports.
Right, I'm off to find out what Big Ben Roethlisberger's been up to recently. Chewing a large hamburger no doubt.
